Flat 2, Keeper’s Cottage is a ground floor apartment in the crofting twonship of Staffin on the Trotternish Penninsula.

From the flat, an easy 10 minute walk will take you over the bridge across the cascading Kilmartin River, past sheep grazing on the headland, to Staffin beach where you can explore to find the dinosaur footprints, and paddle in the water on warmer days. A couple of local cafes, and grocery shops are a 2-3 minute drive or a 15 min walk, for any essentials you might have forgotten, and there is a seasonal take-away at the Staffin Community Centre in case you don’t want to cook.

This cosy bolthole is perfectly sized for one or a couple. Entering through a small hallway with hooks for coats and jackets, there is a step down into the open lounge / dining / kitchen area. The two seater sofa and arm chair have big squashy cushions that are perfect to relax into after a day out, a flat screen TV with internet, a dining table with two chairs, and an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and cafetiere.

The bedroom has a comfy double bed, built in wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps. The bathroom has a shower, W.C. and hand basin.

Please note: Internet access is shared with the self-catering cottage next door, Keeper’s Cottage. And there is a step going down into the open lounge / kitchen area.
